Award Criteria
1. Faith Commitment
Applicant must be actively demonstrating Christian faith through involvement and church membership in good standing.
Must be actively involved in a local church (e.g., attending services, volunteer work).
2. Community Involvement
Preference given to Houstonians
Student must show active involvement in community service through civic engagement or social endeavors.
3. School Enrollment
Verification of enrollment in a theological program. (Example: Master of Theological
Studies, Doctor of Ministry) required.
4. Academic Standing
Sophomore or above, preferably a Master’s Program or Doctoral Student
Minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) from the most recent academic term.
5. Recommendation Letter
Provide two letters of recommendation:
(1) A Pastor or Christian mentor
(2) A Professor
6. Essay Requirement
Submit a short essay (150 words) explaining how your pursuit of Christian education will be used to better society and build the local kingdom.
